*the giveaway is now closed*
Oh I'm excited for this giveaway! It's not to celebrate anything other than all of you loyal readers making me feel just a little bit special in this great big world of blogging. So hugs to you all!
I've been listening and I know that you all love giveaways that are not always fabric. (but really...I'm a prime example of the fact that you can't have too much fabric! or at least want it!) So I decided to find someone who would help me share with you a new love of mine: Washi Tape!
Do you know what Washi Tape is? I didn't until one of those days of blog wanderings and found out about this lovely product. And let me tell you, I'm hooked!! I actually resisted buying any for at least a year after I learned about it, but I was missing out. I will always have this product from now on.
First of all, it's super cute. And I'm a sucker for super cute. AND it's super practical...and that ALMOST beats out super cute. I love that it sticks so strong and yet removes easily. I use it all the time to temporarily tape my customs forms to packages while I transport them to the post office.
I think it is really reasonably priced too. I don't buy tape all that often but when I do I'd much rather have really cute tape. ;) So I'm all over this! Which is why I'm completely jealous that Glenda from PrettyTape on Etsy and Cutetape.com is generously offering one reader a $30 gift certificate! That's a lot of tape my friends!! Send me some if you win. No I'm kidding. Or am I? There are lots of fun items at the stores, so you will of course need to go check them out and become completely hooked on these pretty things.
To enter the giveaway:
1. Go to either Cutetape.com or PrettyTape on Etsy and find your favorite item. Come back here and let us know!
2. Follow Cutetape on Facebook or Twitter (I'm not on twitter so I have no idea how to do that...but those of you who are can probably find it. lol)
3. Give a word of encouragement...to me, to you, to anyone. I could use some encouragement and I'd love to see anyone being encouraged! (It's late, don't ask. lol)

OMG I have never seen this stuff before, it is GORGEOUS!! I just love the pink and grey cherry blossoms, and the navy teal bird is divine, and oh my they have pretty twist ties too!! Oh oh oh I just spotted the Gingham Wiggly Polka Dots Garden Pattern. Oh my it's all too much, I think I need a lie down!! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Angela, I love your blog site and read it daily! You have a lot of talent and create some really pretty things. I think that I love any of the Red Japanese Washi Tapes at Pretty tape, but the green Picture Frame one is so unique that I am making that one My Favorite! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to make a choice, I like everything! But... my favorite washi tape has the red star pattern on it (looks like Sashiko). And then I'll have to put it in the Black Cat Tape Dispenser.
ReplyDeleteI am always favouriting washi tape on Etsy but so far I haven't bought any - too spoilt for choice. I love the tape bundle with text on it like above. And the green bundle above. My eye is also drawn to the purple mix and any with blossom and birds on it!
ReplyDeleteWhy have I not seen this before? I love the old work prints and then there are the lace ones and the spots .... argh way to many to choose from!
ReplyDeleteI love the Colorful Grid Japanese Washi Tape!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance :D
FB fan!
ReplyDelete"You deserve to wear a smile in your heart. Not because of what you have or what you do, but because of who you are.
ReplyDeleteYes, you are changing each day, but you are always amazing just as you are"

ReplyDeleteThe need for encouragement must be going around. I received 2 emails in the last 12 hours with blogging friends in need of encouragement. I hope you are feeling more like yourself soon. Life is good and we are a blessed people - but there are times when we just need a minute to feel sorry for ourselves. Take that moment but ensure it is short lived - that is the key. Be blessed my blogging friend.
ReplyDeleteThat tape looks amazing but I love the stamp set Stationery Seal Margaret Stamp Ruler Pencil Numbers Wooden Stamp Set the ruler and pencil looks sooo cute, I don't even stamp but I might have to start now. Thanks for pointing me in there direction.
ReplyDeleteThe Teal Lace Trim, hands down. It's gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous, plenty of others are sweet, too, but none beats it. :)
ReplyDeleteBoy, do I love that Old Book set. Like you, I found this ages ago and have never bought any. So easy to put off stuff like this. Thx for the chance to win some.

ReplyDeleteI have done the facebook like thing for cute tape
ReplyDeleteNow I am curious, what are you doing that needs encouragement mysterious girl? Whatever it is you are made of strong stuff Angela, you can do it!
ReplyDeleteWho could choose among all those great projects? I love dots and so the polka dot tape spoke to me but I've also been eyeing that twine. Yum!
ReplyDeleteTwo favorite sayings I've been thinking of lately:
Chin up, butter cup! and
Your day will go the way the corners of your mouth turn.
There are some really yummy fuchsia tapes that might have to come live at my house. Hope I win so it doesn't have to come out of my fabric budget.
ReplyDeleteLOVE this stuff! I especially love the dots and the gingham and the florals!
ReplyDeleteJust remember God is always looking out for you! :) He has your back :)
Oh I've been dying to try washi tape since I found it on Pinterest. Great giveaway Angela. My favorite in the Etsy shop is the orange dot that looks like the full moon AB fabric. But it is quite hard to choose- so many great options!

ReplyDeleteI understand how important a little encouragement can be ( I have a new 3 month old baby in the house), just remember that no matter how long or/and hard a day is, it will pass. Plus a shower really can be incredibly revitalizing....maybe that's only when you have spit, sweat and breast milk all over yourself!

ReplyDeleteAs for encouragement, I'm always in need of a little myself. My mantra recently has been "Let go and breath." It's amazing how much taking a deep breath seems to make a difference.
ReplyDeleteOk--I did the FB likey thing as well. I really want that GC!
ReplyDeleteMy only word of encouragement would be to be content in whatever situation you are in. It's sometimes hard to not look over your shoulder and look at someone else. We are not to compare ourselves with others. Which can be hard at times :-)
ReplyDeleteI'll pass on my word of the year "do". Just do it. You can do it. If you don't feel like doing something and yet want to; just get up and get started! It's tough for me and I'm sure others have the same problem. But, once I do get started, I keep on going. :-)

Looks like there have been some great encouraging words left. I'd say take a deep, cleansing breath. Say a prayer asking for strength and guidence. This day too shall pass. Take each day one at a time. When you wake up, do what has to be done, whatever you can and the next day do the same. One foot in front of the other. All you can do, is all you can do. Don't be too hard on yourself. I hope each day gets better and better and the sun once again shines bright on you. Take Care.
