Brenda over at Pink Castle Fabrics is offering up a scrap pack for giveaway! I snatched up the one I loved the most before others *cough Kaelin cough* could get to it. It's yummy! Pezzy Prints, Arcade Prints, and some Half Moon Modern.
I love this pack! There are so many great fabrics in there. And these "Scraps" total up to about 3.5 yards of fabric. So uhm yeah...you can do a lot with these. And Brenda even has an idea for what you can do with them. She's hosting a quilt along aptly titled Bust Yo! Scraps
It looks like fun!
She's also got a 15% off code for her shop, BUST15, for those who want to pick up something in particular. Go wild people. I want to live vicariously through you.
So, if you would like a chance to win the scrap pack just leave me a comment here. I'd love ideas for how to have fun. Remember, my husband and I have declared the year 2012 to be the year of fun. His birthday is tomorrow and it would be awesome to do something fun for that, but I'm open to all kinds of ideas!

humm- fun things...
ReplyDeletei love zoos, aquariums, etc.
Also- check into geocaching. it is a fun way to get out and about and see all kinds of cool things too. gecaching.com
All about the fun!! Don't know if it's that fun but my husband and I went to see the film 'The Artist' this weekend and it was AMAZING :)
ReplyDeleteWe like to go listen/dance to Jazz music for fun! Now, if he's a quilter, fun would be sewing!!!
ReplyDeleteYou could....buy a puppy! That'd be fun! :D
ReplyDeleteFun....hmmm. I don't feel like I've been having a whole ton of fun lately, asides from quilting, so I need to think a moment for suggestions....
ReplyDeleteHaven't done it in a while, but taking the kids 10 pin bowling is a TON of FUN!! I highly recommend it. How old are your kiddos? Mine are 8 and 10 which is perfect. Throw a big heavy ball down the lane and you are pretty much guaranteed to hear a big crash or pins every time (as long as you have the gutters covered up!!)
Thanks for the giveaway. :)
My husband and I walk around downtown and play a photo ABC game. We get exercise and have fun trying to be creative. We obviously start with A and look for things that start with A, a sign with an A word, etc, and then take a picture of it. It's a way to remember the date and see more of the city.
ReplyDeleteGo dancing that would be fun - well to me. If you want to do something memorable fun then learn to fire eat. It's not as scary as it sounds - promise :-)
ReplyDeleteMy husband's birthday is tomorrow too! For our anniversary in September we went and raced go karts. No kids, just us. Now that was fun! We're planning on going again next month with our oldest two to celebrate their upcoming birthdays.
ReplyDeletePezzy Prints - wow!! I'd love a chance to win. Thanks so much.
ReplyDeletedo something you used to do when you were dating that you never take the time to do anymore.
ReplyDeleteI love that mix of fabrics. It is very hard to tell someone how to have fun when I don't know what you like. Here in northern NB, my husband and I love to walks , bike or snowshoe. We always take a camera but recently bought a new one so we are noticing all of natures tiniest gifts and taking pictures everywhere.
ReplyDeleteEven a walk downtown is fun where we try to find as many interesting architectural item so to photograph.
I laughed so hard I nearly peed myself when my husband and I went gokarting. It was too hilarious & made me feel like a little kid.
ReplyDeleteGo out for a nice long relaxing dinner at a nice restaurant. Be fancy! Order all the courses, drinks etc and then see a show or a movie after. So much fun!
ReplyDeleteGo to the zoo! Kids or not it's always a fun outing.
ReplyDeleteOne of our favorite things to do out there was to go to the Niles Theater. Nothing like brand new movies for only $5.00 and then we would go to the little ice cream parlor down the street afterwards. They might even be hosting the Niles Ice Festival as well, which would be a major bonus. We went every year, it is so cool what you can sculpt in ice :)
ReplyDeleteIce skating/Roller skating and dinner out sounds like a fun night to me :)
ReplyDeleteGo to the circus!! It's so much fun these days! In the UK we have Gifford's Circus (please google it!!) which is just good old fashioned fun, fun, fun!
ReplyDeleteFun for my hubby and me is wandering somewhere within driving distance that is pretty and taking pictures. Then we come home and look at all the pictures on the computer.
ReplyDeleteWe go bike riding as a family for some fun and exercise at the same time!
ReplyDeleteHm. I don't know if you're looking for everyday fun or date night fun or what, but my boyfriend and I like to take 2 nights of fun [we're wild like that] and one night we will do something together that he enjoys [like paintball] and the next night we'll do something together that I enjoy [like putting together a puzzle!]. It means both of us are happy, we learn about the other person and their hobbies, and we spend time together! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I love this scrap bundle too!!
I don't have many ideas about having fun, but most of the time we go out to dinner and a movie (ordinary, I know!) I would love to win the giveaway. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteMy boyfriend and I went on a Segway tour, it was surprisingly fun and random.
ReplyDeleteI love love love those pezzies. How to have fun? I like to go back to the basics...board games, bowling, mini golf, dance parties in the living room!
ReplyDeleteI'm a new follower and not sure where you live, but a boat ride is always fun. we live In Chicago, and a ride down the river makes for a good time. It's also fun to act like a tourist in your own hometown, seeing the sights again!
ReplyDeleteLove those scraps!
ReplyDeleteHow about an impromptu 'July in January BBQ' with a few friends?
Fun? How about attending a play. We just saw Wicked for the second time and had a wonderful time. Thanks for the opportunity to enter your great giveaway for scraps!
ReplyDeleteTrying a new restaurant is FUN!
ReplyDeleteHmmm, fun, now what is that again? Hubby and I like to go to the mountains and relax without tv and electronic chaos. The state parks are usually much cheaper than hotels and usually are surrounded by lakes, hiking trails, etc.
ReplyDeleteIt's my bday today and I will be getting sushi, then quilting! I'm sure your hubby wants to do both of those things, too! ;)
ReplyDeleteI just love those little scissors!
ReplyDeleteFun... we don't have enough of it these days, but we do love to sit in the living room (no tv) with a beer or a glass of wine (after the baby is in bed) and just drink, eat cheese, crackers and olives, and talk. It's a good de-stresser and a good way to catch up with each other. For more extravigant fun... bike rides? hikes? movies? taking the little one to a good children's museum?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win - I am hoping that a beautiful scrappy quilt is going to come together for me in 2012, but I do need to collect more scraps!
Play Truth or Dare!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for such a lovely giveaway! What a great pack of colour
HB to your husband! Whatever you do, go outside.
ReplyDeleteHappy husband's birthday! Looks like you"ve gotten some good suggestions for things to do, and since I'm not thinking of anything, I'm not going to worry too much!! Have fun,
ReplyDeleteI just started doing Zumba. So. Much. Fun.
ReplyDeleteI vote for a movie date night - cheap and fun :)
ReplyDeletethanks for the chance :)
Happy husband´s birthday.I just stated belly dance...amazing!
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I like to go to college football games or visit national parks for fun. Maybe not the right time of the year for those things. Skiing was fun -- until our knees got old!
ReplyDeleteI think taking a dance class together would be great fun - if you know how to dance kick it up a notch and lean a new move!
ReplyDeleteMy idea of fun is probably different than others. I love taking my dogs on a walk and playing with them. Also, sewing, knitting, drawing, etc are also my fun activities. Cooking too.
ReplyDeleteGoing to the movies is our favorite way to have fun!
ReplyDeleteBecome tourists in your own area. Go to your Chamber of Commerce website and find out what they are promoting and spend a day hitting up any local tourist site you haven't been too. Bet you'll find lots of hidden gems right near your own house!
ReplyDeletePlay Head Bandz with the kids. Always ends up in laughter with us.
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway. Pink Castle Fabrics is the best!
Make smores! You can easily melt the marshmallows under a broiler, but watch them close.
ReplyDeletefamily ping pong match! half the fun is watching the surly teenagers reluctantly lose their 'too cool' attitude and have fun in spite of themselves! My son always thinks outside the box; we will often play with a baloon, nerf ball, beach ball. Sometimes they play on their knees! drived dear dad nutters, we all end up laughing alot!
ReplyDeleteI think taking the whole family to the zoo for the day is great fun!
ReplyDeleteOh I just love giveaways. Here's hoping I win!
ReplyDeleteProbably pretty simple for some, but playing a board game as a family is always enjoyable.
ReplyDeletei would love some new fabric to play with!
ReplyDeletehow about gifting him a trip a month to a new restaurant you have never been to, from all different continents? i stole his idea from my husband, who did it for me! it has been a blast so far!
We are starting a monthly card party with friends. We'll get to know some other couples and have a good time not focused on the kids.
ReplyDeleteOoh, what a yummy prize, thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteHow about a travelling dinner party with friends? Take it in turns with a bunch of friends to host a dinner (say once a month) and each month choose a different type of cuisine to be made, or from a different country, whatever floats your boat. If you really want to go all out, you can dress like people from that country too :o)
Love the fabric. As far as having fun....hmmmm....we usually just do dinner and a movie or go walk around downtown (people watching is always fun). Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteNEAT FABRICS!
ReplyDeleteTHANKS SO FOR SHARING1
*HINT: FORMING A CARD PARTY IS SUCH A GOOD THING! I SECOND BijousBaby's idea! We always enjoy it!
My husband and I like to go to weird little antique shops, the kind where the owner is as strange as the merchandise. One time I found an artificial leg tucked under a work table...no idea who it belonged to, but it didn't come home with us. I wanted to make it into a coat rack but hubby said no way!
ReplyDeleteI love those fabrics, especially the bold chevrons. Thanks for the giveaway!
How to have fun? I think the best way to have fun is to be silly and be willing to laugh at yourself. My hubby is a big goof and I'm really serious. I am slowly learning to just be silly in front of him and others. We laugh so much it might not be healthy. We've been going through a rough health patch and laughter and prayer is all that's kept us sane. :) So what ever else you do to have fun in 2012 "The Year of FUN!" be sure to keep laughing.
ReplyDeleteCool bundle of fabric! I find it fun to make my little boys happy...a walk to the park, playing catch, coloring together. Face it, kids know how to have fun!
ReplyDeleteLove thoe fabrics. I enjoy playing cards with my DH.
ReplyDeleteGreat fabrics; pick me please! How about a little trip down south for Mardi Gras? We miss you.
ReplyDeleteLove the fabrics and Pink Castle-just got an order from them today! Yay! Birthday for hubby.....hmmm.....bottle of wine, take-out, and a picnic in the park. Oh yeah, he'll love that.;-).
ReplyDeleteMake your hubby a coupon book to redeem things he enjoys. Example - A special lunch, or a day at the park. If he enjoys sports, you can make a coupon for popcorn or pizza for the Super Bowl. You know what he likes, and it's fun for him to redeem the coupons. Very cool looking fabrics. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteIm assuming you want suggestions for nice clean fun?! How about a pottery studio? Or glass blowing? Or a comedy evening?
ReplyDeleteWell our family lives in Hawaii and is always envious of you main-landers who have ice skating rinks...we wish! SO MUCH FUN! So that's my .02 cents ;-). Our fun days are filled with dinner picnics that end when the sun sets, sand castle building contests, or blanket fort building at home with a good movie and popcorn! I'm sure you'll figure out something FUN!
ReplyDeleteI just love spending the day with mine on our birthdays! We took off on the motorcycle last year and spent the riding in the hills, had a picnic
ReplyDeleteLove the space invaders! For fun, how about appy/ dessert potluck, and some games?
ReplyDeletewell since we are having some crazy warm weather we did hiking this weekend, that was FUN! the kids especially loved the muddy bits!! love you scrap choice!
ReplyDeleteHmmm... build a blanket/pillow tent and watch movies under it =D brings out the child in us all. Would be fun :)
ReplyDeletehmmm how to have fun... go ice skating!
ReplyDeleteWe like to play board games - the good, old ones like Monopoly and Scrabble. It doesn't have to be all serious and competitive. We get very silly!
ReplyDeleteWhen my boyfriend and I want to have fun, we connect with some old friends that we haven't seen in a while. They have a little boy too, so we can have the kids there, or leave the kids behind. I love friends ;)
ReplyDeleteSince space invaders and pac man is in the pack I suggest going to an arcade! I LOVE video games, but if that is not your style maybe some other form of game like putt putt (mini golf), board games, card games, or lawn games (bean bag toss, etc). Good times!
ReplyDeleteTo have fun.. think like a kid! Get a pinata for your hubby's birthday and fill it with his favorite things. Go to open gymnastics and bounce on the trampoline... eat cupcakes for dinner! Whee! I'm having fun just thinking about it :)
ReplyDeletelove these scraps! thanks for hosting - go skating!!
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I like to get away for weekends when possible (Roadtrip!). We even have fun going to grocery store or Home Depot. Happy Birthday to your husband.
ReplyDeleteThat Half Moon fabric is wonderful. Love the others too!
ReplyDeleteI'd love a chance to win the scrap pack!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your husband! I think a fun day would be to spend the day doing whatever it is that he wants to do. I love the idea of surprising him with a packed back and a road trip weekend away that he has no idea about.
I would love a chance to win! I like to go downtown to the movies. They show them on a huge wall and you can picknic and enjoy a nice evening out. Weather permitting, of course.
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I have date night every Wednesday! And I don't know if it's fun but we like to go to the trampoline gym once a month! It really is fun!
ReplyDeleteJust enjoy everyday things.
ReplyDeleteOh, and we like to go swimming.
How about a date night or a nice hike on one of the ridiculously not-winter days.
ReplyDeleteWhat did you do for fun when you two first met? Maybe go down memory lane? Go rollerskating or skinny dipping at the beach at midnight. Something crazy and outrageous that you normally wouldn't do. GO camp under the stars.
ReplyDeleteHow about trying something new together? Indoor rockcllimbing? If nothing else, it should be good for a few laughs
ReplyDeleteHow about a night out to a funny movie? Always a good time!
ReplyDeleteA year of fun!? Wow! I guess fun would be to take a drive up a river road and wait for the sunset. I suppose that could be an ocean, meadow, or whatever you have near.
ReplyDeletePicnic! Doesn't matter what time of year. If the weather is yucky, picnic in your car at a beautiful spot. It is just so much fun!
ReplyDeleteI agree with the do something you used to do together when you were dating!
ReplyDeleteMaybe as a young mom, this doesn't appeal to you as much - but as a Nana, I have the most fun going to kiddie movies with my granddaughter! It's so much fun to watch her reactions to the movie!! And then as she incorporates parts of the movie in her play - I can't tell you how many times I've been served hazelnut soup and been told to "let down my hair"!!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win....
ReplyDeleteIf my husband were fun...and of course he's not...and of course he's reading this...he would learn ball room dancing with me. Thanks for a great giveaway.
ReplyDeleteMy husband's b'day is also this week, and we are thinking of going skiing. Maybe there's something you guys didn't do for a while or wanted to try something new but never got to it - now is the time! have fun!
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty scraps. Thank you to Pink Castle. Fun? How about going to a nice place to play pool?
ReplyDeleteWe just got Dish installed.....again and I haven't seen much of my husband since. So we're short on fun around here unless you call watching the playoffs togetherness at its finest. Thanks for the giveaway. Those are great scraps. Love em.
ReplyDeleteWe love to go to large, urban farmer's markets, and people watch. If you do not hear five or six languages, the market is too small!
ReplyDeleteAn early start, a big long hike, a picnic packed for lunch in the middle, & a good movie in the evening.
ReplyDeleteI love indoor and outdoor picnics! They can be as low-key or as fancy as you want, and they're pretty fun. :)
ReplyDeleteSomething fun...how about finding a local pub with good burgers and a couple of pinball machines? My honey would love something like that. I would love to win some fabric scraps (he wouldn't be too excited about that for himself, HA!). Thanks for the chance at your giveaway.
ReplyDeletewell, perhaps i should make this the year of fun, too, as i clearly need help in that arena! one idea that i used to enjoy with a previous significant other was watching a cooking show or three, then picking something from one that we'd like to make, going shopping, then making our dinner. always made for a fun saturday!
ReplyDeletego ROLLER SKATING!!! That is the best- and talk about bringing back memories :) have a great birthday celebration! :)
ReplyDeleteWhen we get a date night, we will get appetizers at one restraunt, then go to another restraunt for more appetizers. It's a fun way to try a few new restraunts.
ReplyDeleteFun usually means something to laugh over together. For DH and I it's our dog, but it could be people watching, a movie, playing cards, or just a conversation about inane stuff.
ReplyDeleteTravel is my favorite way to have fun. Go to Paris!
ReplyDeleteBreakfast in bed!
ReplyDeleteSo many ideas mentioned.... I always say that we are going to have people over but it is a rare thing, but so much fun when we do.
ReplyDeleteA pub crawl is always a blast!!
ReplyDeleteHmmm... having fun.... I guess I'm pretty boring. I like lunches & dinners with friends who absolutely crack me up. It's considered a good time if we are laughing so hard we forget the cake. And then remember it and eat it and get started laughing again. (Because forgetting the cake belongs in the Unfun Things to Do category.)
ReplyDeleteOooh, thanks for the giveaway! We are having a blast wi Just Dance 3 st the moment, but we also have a lot of fun skating in the winter and biking in the summer. Oh, and a great game of Settlers of Catan is always fun.
ReplyDeleteplay a board game, go on a picnic, mmm, it might be a bit cold outside, have a picnic inside!.
ReplyDeletethanks for a chance at the fabric!
Loves the scraps, thanks for the chance!!
ReplyDeleteWell, shopping is fun. Cinema is fun. :)
Now that's a smokin' scrap pack! I am all for indoor picnics. Kids love eating on the floor (on a quilt!) in a room where they are normally not allowed to eat. Plus, you can make it extra fun by allowing lots of trips to and from the kitchen with one or two small items on a serving tray (while wearing waitress apron, of course). Don't forget to tip! Fun!
ReplyDeleteIt's my hubby's birthday tomorrow too. His idea of fun is getting to be in charge for the day, the kids are hanging to decorate half the house with streamers and balloons for him - I guess we can all learn to have fun from the little people around us!
ReplyDeleteMake your husband KING FOR A DAY! Blindfold him and take him somewhere to play...a park, a gym, a rock climbing wall, a bowling alley...something like that. Make his favorite food for all meals and tell everyone you meet during the day that 'Today is my husband's birthday!"
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win some scraps !!
ReplyDeletethanks Brenda for the giveaway...
Fun... I'd love to go cycling with my husband and then to a nice cafe for lunch...
ReplyDeleteFun is anything carnival themed...popcorn, cotton candy etc. Make him a great big amazing carnival! This weekend if you don't have this stuff lying around :)
ReplyDeleteWhat about visiting an indoor swimming pool with water slides? :)
ReplyDeleteSusanne
How about go-karting for fun birthday activity? Hope you have a lovely day celebrating. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteOhh I love the pezzy prints and the large chevrons!! We are fortunate to live right by the beach so there are plenty of fun options for us...sunbathing, biking, snorkeling, parasailing...lots of activities!
ReplyDeleteDo something playful that makes you laugh. Thanks for offering the chance to win some fun fabrics.
ReplyDeleteHow about some salsa dancing? We love it. Or playing pool or bowling..or just watching one man show :o) Have fun! And let us know what you did :o) We need some inspiration, too.
ReplyDeleteOh yes please! I'm trying really hard to bust my scraps and have not bought any fabric yet this year (ok that's a lie I bought a vintage sheet at the car boot on Sunday for £1) so a win would be great!
ReplyDeleteHow to have fun? I don't have enough of it, but I'd recommend playing with your little girl and not worrying about dirt or time and if you can get on a swing in the park! Have a great time whatever you do!
Karaoke. It's so much fun with a bunch of friends! :)
ReplyDeletenerf guns! for sure, a blast.
ReplyDeleteOoh so many lovely scraps! As for fun how about some good old fashioned bowling!
ReplyDeleteA tubing party is tons of fun! Will have to check if you live in a snowy part of our universe. Hot cocoa by the fire afterward. This done with either the family or just adults is a great way to spend time together...how about snowshoeing?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway...I need to look into that scrap along link...I've got to get some ideas!
Fun to me is supper out. And new shoes. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win! Have a picnic - even if it's on the living room floor with candles, a blanket and music.
ReplyDeleteDo you have a nearby large university? Ours offers free entrance to to their observation tower and large telescope... such fun!
ReplyDeleteFun = me & hubby + wine + latest DVD. Doesn't get better than that :)
ReplyDeleteBake a cake, make a mess, and then eat it! How could that possibly not be any fun?...ok...maybe not the clean-up part.
ReplyDeleteMy idea of fun is doing something special with the whole family and watching the children enjoy themselves. So that is my suggestion: go some place, like a children's museum.
ReplyDeletecute scraps!
ReplyDeletefor fun, i've been wanting to join an adult kickball league for the winter season.
One thing I'm trying to talk my husband into is ziplining. Also, trying to get him to go ice skating, which he is very against, I'm not sure why.
ReplyDeleteHow to have fun? You mean not sewing or making something? Is that even possible ;0)
ReplyDeleteWow, I'm really struggling to think of something here - rally driving? Zipwiring? Horse riding? No, that's not fun, it hurts! I know!! Fabric shopping!!
Love the scrap pack! A surprise get away would be great fun!
ReplyDeleteBcopeland@tradersbank.com
Happy birthday to your husband! Fun ideas? Anything you do that will involve your daughter in the mix will be fun. Maybe a singing telegram done by her?
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I are also striving to have more fun this year, and enjoy where we live. So we're trying to plan at least one thing a month. Like a tourist destination that is just a short car ride away, and a stay-cation in our own town to take our daughter swimming and just relax away from home. Just a couple ideas. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteMy brother and SIL went to a nearby town, checked into a motel, then visited the Museum of Natural History that had a Cowboy History show. The next day they explored local country. A day-and-a-half of peace, no cell calls, no cooking, no kids, no laundry, and easy-going fun. Almost a stay-cation... Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteHow about game night with adult friends? We played the newlywed game (we've been married 8 years) and it was hilariously fun!
ReplyDeleteAn adult "olympics" would be fun later this year. Be sure to make up a theme song (national anthem) that everyone gets to sing to the winners of each event. We've done this with a penny drop, marshmallow shooting contest, grape toss, etc. - tons of fun!
ReplyDeleteMy idea of fun is something random and spontaneous, like calling date-night in the middle of the week and going to a new restaurant, or meeting friends for a movie and drinks. Just something out of our regular routine keeps things fun and interesting!
ReplyDeleteAnd sometimes, like now, when I'm two days away from my first vacation in almost a year, the most fun thing I can think of is a nap!
I always think bowling is super fun and something we don't do often! Amy @ gasudimack(at)sbcglobal(dot )net
ReplyDeleteWash and vacuum out his car for him. That's what I do for my DH. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteGo find some Flea Markets:)
ReplyDeleteOur fun is always low key and on the cheap. Some of our fondest memories are a picnic at the park with a good book in tow that we read aloud.
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I have enjoyed taking quilting classes together.
ReplyDeleteMy wife and I like going to tapings of sitcoms in Hollywood.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your husband! Depending on weather and if you want to include your daughter you could plan a picnic in the living room, build a fire and read books, or go swimming at the YMCA (always a fun activity with my kids, kids museum, or if it's just the two of you a wine bar is a good way to go. Not too expensive but able to get out and go talk. I did like the other idea of remembering what was a favorite activity when dating and doing that again. It reminds me of when my husband and I were dating we would meet at the local coffee shop and sit and talk. Good times and something we don't do nearly enough of!
ReplyDeleteLauraT
Go somewhere you've never been or do something you've never done. I have a goal for 2012 of at least one new thing every week. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteGo out to dinner at a place you've never been to. I think it's fun to find new yummy food. :)
ReplyDeletePlan a trip to Disneyland! Seriously, this is probably the one place you can to where it's okay to act like a kid again. :)
ReplyDeleteGo swimming! I love swimming, it never fails to put a smile on my face
ReplyDeleteWell, I don't know what the weather is like where you live (or where you live, for that matter!), but I find going out in the snow can be very fun. Act like you're kids for an hour: have a snowball fight, fall into a bank and make snow angels, build a snowman... Remembering to play like when you were kids is always fun. I don't do it enough, frankly, so plan to take my own advice, if the snow arrives as expected today.
ReplyDeleteEven better this way, because now I can WIN them for myself...MWAHAHAHAHAHA!
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I like to have a bonfire on the weekends. You could have fun sitting around the fire and roasting marshmallows or sipping yummy cocktails to keep you warm.
ReplyDeletekatie.m.hall@gmail.com
I know this is not too orginal but we love to go to the movies. We don't go often but love it when we do. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteFan-tas-tic fabric! I would love to win it! I think it's fun to plan a meal, shop together for the food and the wine. Make dessert too-something really decadent!
ReplyDeleteGreat scraps!! I would have to say go sledding! It is so much fun and reminds me of when I was a kid. Of course don't forget the hot cocoa after. :)
ReplyDeleteWe tend to get in a rut, so we are checking out local restaurants that we never go to--mostly for appetizers because eating out is expensive!
ReplyDeleteThose are great fabrics, I would LOVE to win that bundle!
ReplyDeleteWhat's more fun than a day alone to sew whatever you want. (that doesn't included the hubby though...) I'm always up for a good game night too.
ReplyDeleteThanks!!
Put a puzzle together, together.
ReplyDeleteLove the fabrics in the giveaway
Movie in a cinema and shopping holding hands together is a fun activity for me :)
ReplyDeleteIce skating! Oh wait, my husband and I had a major fight last time we went - you know, 10 years ago - resulting from me being PMS-y and him trying to correct my skating form. :) Oh, the joys of marriage - still together after the worst date ever. But it still sounds like it could be fun.
ReplyDeletewell for fun I love ZUMBA! it always puts me in a good mood. Not really a "boy" thing though, although a happy wife is a happy home ;)
ReplyDeleteIf you have to have fun with the hubbie, a nice long walk somewhere pretty - beech, park, woods etc
Karaoke!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway chance!
I hope your husband had a good birthday! I like to try new and novel things with my husband for fun, things that put both of us a little out of our element. For instance, like learning to kayak or taking a cooking class. Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteOh! Thank you for the opportunity to win these great fabrics! Fun, huh? Well I love it when we get all bundled up and do something in the winter that is usually a summer thing. For instance, I just love going to the beach or on a hike! It is so serene, and a lot of fun if you are nice and bundled!
ReplyDeleteFor fun ... just hanging out with my husband - we make each other laugh. Or snowshoeing, playing games, skiing, movies, eating out ...
ReplyDeleteI love these fabrics! Thank you for the giveaway!
Packing up a special picnic and going to a beautiful place together is one of my favorite FUN things to do!
ReplyDeleteLove the chevron patterns. My husband and I usually spend time hanging out and watching movies (because our 4 year could very well be asleep or join us). When it's just the two of us, we end up eating out and then at home; you guessed it... watching a movie!
ReplyDeleteHmmm - fun is different to different people. Fun to me would be having good friends over. :)
ReplyDeleteWe bought a pup so our year has" exercise, discipline affection!!" written all over it.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a lovelu celebration yesterday.
Late to the party ;-) hope you had tons of fun! I'd so love to win fabric, beginner quilter and building my stash so this would be so welcome!
ReplyDeleteGo "parking" in your driveway or garage. It's pretty fun!
ReplyDeleteSewing up some new quilt projects is FUN. Also, I am going to Road 2 California Quilt show with hubby next week and that will be BIG fun! Thanks for the giveaway chance,
ReplyDeleteTake a day trip with a quarter. Flip the coin and play heads or tails for decisions of the day ie whether to turn right or left, take an exit, go into a shop, have the barbeque or the salad. Fair warning...approach the day with little or no expectations. You may end up at McDonalds with a happy meal, or a very nice restaurant with a lighter wallet when you leave :) Hubs and I played this with a 3 pass rule(each) to be redeemed at our discrestion.
ReplyDeleteGoing out to a wonderful dinner is fun! This looks like great fabric to have fun with. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteWe like to build a campfire anytime of the year.
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I enjoy going out for Thai food, followed by attending a concert. Of course, my favorite way to have fun is looking at fabric and patterns, but I don't think that will work for hubby's b-day...
ReplyDeleteLove all those fabrics! Thanks for the chance for us to love them too! As for fun, life with 2 small kiddos for me means fun sewing after they sleep or trying to catch up on grown up tv after I get the cartoons off, lol. Not much help, I'm afraid! Happy bday to the DH.
ReplyDeleteLove space invaders! :D

ReplyDeleteIt's summer here and we've just got back from a fun beach holiday where there's been sand, paddling, shopping and watching the kids have a ball on a hydroslide. Come winter we might go to the hot springs and have fun in the water there.
ReplyDeleteWe had fun tonight. We are on a tight budget so we made dinner at home and then took it to the playground at the lake with the three smalls. While I sat and fed bubba, I got to watch my favourite man run and play with our children. Super fun, free and left me feeling warm inside. It is summer here though so the park is a great option.
