Thinking of another quilt along...am I crazy?

Okay folks...I'm THINKING about doing another quilt along.  I haven't done one since last summer for you all and I'm not participating in any myself currently, so I'm getting that itch.  And I'm probably nuts to even think about it because I am still planning on the Sew-Less Summer Series (yes! I finally picked a name).  But I have this quilt design that I did over a year ago that I haven't had time to do and I think that it might just be perfect for a quilt along.

But you tell me.  I'll reveal the pattern if I decide to do the quilt along but I'm trying to gauge interest first.

The pattern is of....wait for it....The Super Mario Brothers!

I know!  Right?!  Awesomeness.

But I wanted to get a feel for how many of us might be interested in doing this or if everyone is WAY too swamped or hates the subject.  Whatever.  So I put together a little poll if you don't mind picking a choice....I would really appreciate it.

  1. I just decided to run a QAL of my own..plus I still have the Patchwork Prism to do..and my zig zag isn't..um...done..*ahem* so I said "no more QAL"..and then you said "Super Mario Brothers". I could never turn that down.

  3. I haven't finished my zig zag quilt from last summer (it's on the list to finish this summer now) but I am interested in this one. I don't play video games anymore but as a child I loved the Super Mario Brothers games.

  4. Sigh, my best friend has been asking me to make a super mario brothers quilt every since I made the mistake of showing him one on esty (made out of 1" squares...) I keep saying no, no no and no, but if this is not 1" squares, and I don't mention it to him (so if I fail at it he won't know!) it sounds like it might be awesome.

  5. i reluctantly said yes, because i really don't have time, but my husband...i mean, my son...would love something like that. although, my son is only 4 months old, but you know...he needs it for when he's older. my husband can use it in the mean time. :)

  8. I look forward to seeing your design, but it's probably not a quilt I'd do. At least at this point! Now, if you want to design a Duck Hunter quilt......

  15. I would prefer Pikachu, but I don't think I could resist Mario. There's just something about a man with a nose the size of a grapefruit and a mustache that could pass for a broom that makes my heart go pitter pat.

  19. I've got too much going on to join in this QAL, but would eat up all the pics. I've loved every MB quilt I've seen. On another note, you chose my name suggestion!!! Cool!

  22. Oh my, I have such a busy summer, but made the mistake of telling my husband about it. I saw his face light up when I mentioned it, so if it isn't too difficult, I will attempt it.

  28. I really wanted to say no but SUPER MARIO!! My daughter LOVES Mario! She has a stuffed one that she drags all over the house with her, and, on top of playing Mario games on the Wii, she loves to watch youTube videos featuring Super Mario! This would be the perfect quilt for our basement/game room.

  29. I just finished two pixelated Mario quilts for my son and his best friend...but if yours has both Mario and Luigi...I may just have to spend more time with them!

  30. My son is 3 and LOVES mario kart. Sooo much. He would probably lose his mind if I made him a mario quilt. I think that alone would win his love forever. I really hope you get enough interest to do this. Holy smokes I'm already imagining the grin on his face!

  31. I bought one of the patterns already - are you thinking of the one ''The Plumber and the Monkey'' pattern from Carolina patchworks?

  32. I would say no based on current commitments, but I would say YES based on desire for Super Mario! So, I would say, maybe?

P.S. I didn't take the poll as you can see there is no option for indecisiveness.
